Mae and I met on a summer evening in June '24 and to be honest it was a one in a million chance that we met at all. Her being born and raised over 8000 miles from where I was, and on top of that I was only home on leave for just a short while. Most of you have heard the wild story of how I actually got her to give me the time of day so I'll keep it brief and say that for one of us it was love at first sight. I knew I wanted her to be my wife almost instantly, that smile is worth keeping around alone. We managed to keep the flame alive and strong for the next year and a half until I was able to get out of the military and finish my contract. It wasn't easy though with a big chunk of that time I was overseas or working. We took turns driving and flying back and forth, scrambling to make it to work on time afterwards, lost sleep, broken hearts, gas and money, flowers, doordash, unplanned dates both physical and virtual and no small amount of tears but it was worth it. We are both excited to start the beginning of the rest of our lives on this journey to heaven and we can't wait to share a small part of it with you all! We could use all the love and prayers you can spare but most importantly we just want to enjoy everyone's company and have a blast!
In Christ,
Mae & Ethan
